Literacy Blog #10
In the article is tells us “approximately 3˚C from pre-industrial levels, since about 0.8˚C of warming has happened in the last 150 years. The latest estimates of climate sensitivity suggest that such temperatures may not be reached till the end of the century — if at all.” The author is saying that global warming is helping us in a way. It says that cold weather has caused more death than hot weather has. Maybe global warming i better for humans, but not for the environment. Animals and plants live in different kind of temperatures. If the energy efficiency of our homes improves, then at some point the cost of cooling probably will exceed the cost of heating. Another good benefit is that carbon dioxide is increasing. Plants need a lot of carbon dioxide to make oxygen. Carbon Dioxide will help our plants grow more and produce oxygen more. We should care about our world. We live here and we need to take care of it. The economy is not going very well right now. Most families are struggling to keep a house and food. It is possible to compare the cost and benefits of climate change. but it is hard to think how the future is going to be. Climate Change has changed a lot. Everyone thinks it is all bad. There is some good. Right now, we need to make sure our planet is getting took care of. We should make policies about money first before we do anything else. We should stop wasting so much stuff that we could easily reuse. Some people keep saying that they want a better world or environment. They also don’t do nothing about it.

That's a very interesting point of view. I never thought that global warming could be benefiting us as humans. You're post sounds great, but my only suggestion is that you space your paragraphs out more. For example, when you change subjects, or when you start a quote, make a new paragraph.
ReplyDeleteThat's pretty interesting. I like how you contrasted the needs of people versus plants and animals. The only problem I found is just spelling/grammar. For example, there's just an "i" where it should say "is" and the phrase "don't do nothing" should be "don't do anything". My suggestion would be just to read back over it before submitting your post.
